Sharrow and White Sweep Landmark Conference Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors

The University of Scranton women's track and field team swept the Landmark Conference weekly awards, as seniors Sam Sharrow and Molly White were each recognized for their dominant, nationally ranked performances at the Mountain Hawk Invitational on Saturday. 

Sharrow Named Landmark Women's Track Athlete of the Week

  • Senior Sam Sharrow delivered one of the strongest season-opening performances in Division III, winning two events, setting two school records, and posting NCAA top-10 marks across three disciplines.
  • She captured the 200 meters in 25.83 and the long jump at 5.52m (18'1.50"), while also recording one of the nation's fastest early-season 60-meter times.
  • Her marks rank 10th nationally in the 60m, 9th in the 200m, and 9th in the long jump.
  • Sharrow's school-record efforts also move her to 4th all-time in Landmark history in the 60m and 6th all-time in the 200m.

White Named Landmark Women's Field Athlete of the Week

  • Senior Molly White opened her season with an exceptional all-around showing in the indoor pentathlon, finishing third overall and first among all Division III competitors.
  • Her total of 3,279 points — a new school record — currently ranks second in the nation, fueled by strong performances in the 60m hurdles, high jump, long jump, and 800 meters.
  • White also set the school record in the 60m hurdles, a mark that now stands 10th on the Landmark Conference all-time list, highlighting her outstanding multi-event performance.
