SCRANTON, Pa. – Senior Molly White of The University of Scranton women's track and field team has been named the Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week after earning a berth to the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in the pentathlon.
White secured her spot at the national meet with a record-breaking performance at the All-Atlantic Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships, where she captured the pentathlon title with a program-record score of 3,530 points.
The Landmark Conference Indoor Women's Field Performer of the Year delivered a strong all-around performance across the five events. She opened the competition by setting both a personal and program record in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 9.05 seconds. White followed with a victory in the high jump, clearing 1.58 meters, and added a third-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.28 meters.
White capped the day by winning the 800 meters in 2:19.74, securing the pentathlon title and cementing her program-record score.
With her performance of 3,530 points, White enters the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships seeded 10th in the pentathlon field. The national meet will take place March 13–14 in Birmingham, Alabama, with the pentathlon scheduled to begin on Friday at 11:20 a.m..
