Box Score ALLENTOWN, PA -- The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team was defeated 13-6 by Muhlenberg College on Wednesday night. 

The Basics

How it Happened

• Muhlenberg scored the first two goals of the game before junior Kyle Holmes got Scranton on the board at the 7:30 mark off an assist from sophomore Patrick D'Amaro.
• The Mules closed out the opening period with two more goals to take a 4-1 lead headed into the second quarter.
• Scranton came out strong to start the second, scoring three straight goals to tie the game up at 4-4. Junior Quinn Carson, freshman Cooper Roberts, and Holmes all found the back of the net during the run. 
• Muhlenberg scored two goals in the final four minutes of the first half to take a 6-4 lead at the break.
• After a scoring drought from both sides in the opening 11 minutes of the third period, Muhlenberg scored three consecutive goals to take a 9-4 lead with one period remaining.
• The Mules went up 11-4 following a pair of goals in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter.
• Roberts scored his second goal of the day at the 10:51 mark in the fourth.
• D'Amaro scored his third goal of the season at the 5:30 mark.
• Muhlenberg went on to win by a final score of 13-6.

Top Performers

• Roberts and Holmes each scored a team-high two goals.
• D'Amaro posted four points on three assists and one goal.
• Sophomore Connor Cole recorded a game-high four caused turnovers. 
• Sophomore goalie Carsen Kirchner made 11 saves.
