CLERMONT, FL -- The University of Scranton softball team finished its spring break trip in Florida with a 4-2 record to improve to the 8-4 on the year.
Scranton - 6, Eastern Connecticut - 0 (Resumption today from 3/16)
How it Happened
- Scranton loaded the bases in the first inning and junior Emmie Feltenberger came through with a 2 RBI single that scored senior Kylie Rochford and freshman Celia Totaro and advanced senior Alyssa Mosconi to third base.
- Mosconi then scored on a sacrifice fly from fellow senior Hannah Keane.
- Freshman Hailey Poskonka drove in Feltenberger for Scranton's fourth run of the opening inning.Â
- In the second inning, Rochford hit an RBI single that scored sophomore Alexa Bruno.Â
- With the bases loaded in the sixth inning, Mosconi was hit by a pitch and allowed sophomore Ellyn Cervona to give Scranton a 6-0 lead.
- The game ended by mercy rule in the sixth inning.

- Freshman Emma Douglas pitched a complete game shutout and allowed just 3Â hits while posting a season-high 7Â strikeouts.
- Feltenberger went 2-4 at the plate and recorded a team-high 2 RBI.Â
McDaniel - 4, Scranton - 3Â (3/18)
How it Happened
- With the bases loaded in the first inning, Keane hit an RBI single that scored Totaro and put the Royals up 1-0.
- Senior Madison DeStefano and Poskonka each hit RBI singles in the bottom of the third to give Scranton a 3-0 lead.
- McDaniel scored three runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game up at 3-3.
- McDaniel scored the go-ahead run on a single to left field in the top of the seventh inning and held on to win 4-3.

- Rochford went a team-best 3-4 at the plate.
- Douglas went all 7 innings on the mound and allowed just 2 earned runs while recording 3Â strikeouts.

How it Happened
- Totaro scored the first run of the game in the first inning on an RBI from Feltenberger.
- DeStefano scored Scranton's second run of the game in the top of the second inning.
- Rutgers-Camden had a strong second inning at the plate, scoring 7Â runs on 7Â hits to take a 7-2 lead.
- Keane got things going for Scranton in the top of the third as she hit a triple that scored Feltenberger to cut the lead to 7-3.
- Scranton got within 3 later in the inning as Keane scored on an RBI from DeStefano.Â
- Rutgers-Camden scored its eighth run of the game in the bottom of the third on a double steal.Â
- The Royals capitalized on three wild pitches and an error by Rutgers-Camden in the fourth inning to take a 9-8 lead.
