Men's Tennis Drops Pair of Matches to Hamline & Colby Sawyer

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ORLANDO, FL -- The University of Scranton men's tennis team lost both matches by a score of 6-1 today in Florida to Hamline Universiy and Colby Sawyer College.

  • In the first match of the day, Hamline won 2 of 3 doubles matches to earn the point. Scranton's doubles win came in the No. 2 match as sophomore Harrison Clark and freshman Ethan Borick teamed up to earn a 6-2 victory. Hamline won 5 of 6 singles matches with Scranton's lone win coming from sophomore Lucas Kotcho in the No. 2 spot as he won his match, 4-1, (Retired). 
  • The second match of today's slate saw the Royals face off against Colby Sawyer College. Colby Sawyer won 2 of 3 doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Kotcho and Borick earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles for Scranton. Borick also earned the lone singles win for Scranton in the match, as we earned a 7-5, 3-6, (10-4) victory.
