Junior outfielder John Heitzman of The University of Scranton baseball team was named Third Team All-Region by D3Baseball.com on Tuesday.

• In his first season at Scranton, Heitzman led the Royals and the Landmark Conference with 55 RBI.
• The Fairfield, CT native hit .353 on the season with a .611 slugging percentage that ranked second in the conference.
• He ranked first on the team with seven home runs this season, including four in the conference tournament. 
• Heitzman recorded 12 doubles and five triples this year to pace Scranton.
• He also ranked tied for first on the team with 10 stolen bases.
