Senior defenseman
Zachariah Palinkas of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team earned IMLCA All-Region 3 Honorable Mention honors as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.
Earlier this year, Palinkas was named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and earned First Team All-Conference honors. He played a pivotal role in anchoring a defense that allowed the fewest goals in conference play (51) and achieved a perfect 9-0 record against Landmark opponents.
Palinkas ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (23) and third in ground balls (46), showcasing his consistency and impact on the defensive end throughout the season.
His efforts helped lead Scranton to its third consecutive Landmark Conference Championship and a dominant 20-8 victory over Immaculata University in the NCAA Tournament First Round.
