University of Scranton Women's Basketball – Landmark Conference Championship Preview 

  • Matchup: #3 Elizabethtown College at #1 University of Scranton

Championship History 

  • Scranton is looking for its 11th straight Landmark Championship and 13th overall. 
  • Elizabethtown makes the title game for the third time ever and for the first time since 2022-23, when they lost to Scranton. They are looking for their first Landmark Title. 
  • This is the third time these two teams will meet in the championship. Scranton won both previous matchups in the 2018-19 and 2022-23 seasons.

Scranton swept the regular-season matchups:

About Elizabethtown 

  • Elizabethtown advanced to the championship with consecutive postseason wins, defeating sixth-seeded Drew 80-72 in overtime in the opening round and second-seeded Susquehanna 68-61 in the semifinals. 
  • The Blue Jays average 67.6 PPG and allow 60.7 PPG while averaging 42.1 rebounds per game and 4.04 blocks per game.

  • Scranton earned a first-round bye as the top seed after completing a perfect conference season and recently defeated Catholic 74-36 in the semifinals, the seventh time this season it has held a conference opponent under 40 points. 
  • Scranton leads the nation in points allowed (42.2), scoring margin (38.7), assist to turnover ratio (2.0) and are second in points per game (80.8) and third in field goal percentage (45.7).
