University of Scranton women's tennis freshman Sarah Crawford has been named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week following a dominant performance in a pair of conference victories for the Royals.
Crawford led Scranton to a 2-0 week with wins over Drew University (6-1) and Elizabethtown College (7-0), helping the Royals improve to 5-0 in Landmark Conference play.
Competing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, Crawford was flawless across both matches. In singles play, she did not drop a single game, recording back-to-back 6-0, 6-0 victories. In doubles action, she teamed with Gisele Falzone to secure wins of 6-1 against Drew and 6-0 against Elizabethtown, anchoring a sweep of doubles play in both matches.
Her dominance at the top of the lineup set the tone for two commanding team performances, as Scranton allowed just one total team point across the two matches.
