Article written by Athletic Communications Intern Cammi Quirk

The University of Scranton softball team was swept in a non-conference doubleheader against Misericordia dropping game one, 6-0, before falling in game two, 10-2, on Thursday afternoon at Anderson Field in Dallas, Pa.

Game One:
  • Win: Gabby Cruz (8-3); Loss: Carly Noble (6-6)

How it Happened

  • Misericordia opened the scoring in the first inning, scoring a pair of runs on a two-run double and one more on an error to take a 3-0 lead.
  • The Cougars added another two runs in the fourth inning on an RBI triple and an RBI double to extend their advantage.
