The University of Scranton men's and women's soccer teams have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom, earning the United Soccer Coaches (USC) 2025-26 Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization last week.

A total of 799 soccer teams, including 336 men's and 463 women's programs, achieved a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher to earn the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Scranton was one of 187 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

The women's team earned a GPA of 3.61 under head coach Colleen Pivirotto while the men earned a 3.53 GPA under head coach Andy Loughnane
