The Royals broke away from a 5-4 halftime lead by keeping the

helped the Royals build up a 39-26 advantage in shots and 38-22
margin in ground balls.
Mikrut scored all three of his goals in the second half, including
a pair in the third period as the Royals broke it open by
out-scoring the Devils 6-1. Mikrut and Sturm then opened the
final stanza with goals as the lead ballooned to eight.

John Gregitis (Wayne, Pa./St. Joseph’s
Preparatory), sophomore attacker Will
Mahle (Montgomery, NJ/St. Peter’s Prepartory),
and senior attacker Kevin
Brier (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks).
Senior all-America candidate Tim
Cleary (Shrewsbury, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) was
a dominating presence on defense, finishing with two caused
turnovers, five grounds balls and two assists for the Royals, whose
current 5-game winning streak is the longest in the program since
2008.

Worthington (Jenkintown, Pa./Archbishop Wood) finished
with a game-high eight saves for Scranton while his counterpart,
Devil freshman Tim Zangara (Newfoundland, NJ/Morris Knolls),
stopped five shots.
