Eleven University of Scranton student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
Representing Scranton on the men's team were senior golfer Jack Novis and men's lacrosse standouts Connor Cole, Brendan Donohue, Colin Giarrusso, and Jason Kozak.
The Royals' six women's honorees included field hockey student-athletes Maggie Keys and Annie Shaw, along with women's lacrosse players Mia Dinnocenzio, Eva Guerino, Eileen Hewitt, and Jillian Lopez.
Four Scranton student-athletes were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and advanced to the national ballot. Giarrusso from men's lacrosse, Shaw from field hockey, and women's lacrosse standouts Hewitt and Lopez were all denoted with an asterisk as finalists.
The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both athletically and academically throughout the academic year. Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America selections set to be announced July 7 for women and July 8 for men.
The 11 Academic All-District selections add to another highly successful year for Scranton athletics, highlighting the department's continued commitment to excellence in the classroom and competition.
