MOUNT COBB, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's golf team continued its strong start to its inaugural season, posting a pair of wins in a tri-match against Arcadia, Marywood and Wilkes on Sunday afternoon at Scranton Municipal Golf Course.

The Royals (3-1) defeated Arcadia, 381-423, and Wilkes, 381-535, but fell to Marywood, 361-381, on the 5,834-yard, par-72 layout.

Scranton was led by freshman Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge), who shot 90, the third-lowest score of the day. Sophomore Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) finished with 95, junior Katie Allen (New Milford, Conn./Immaculate High School) finished with 96, and sophomore Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) had 100 to round out the team's top four scores.

The Royals, who won the first match in the program's history over Wilkes on Sept. 13, will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on the Colonels at Huntsville Golf Club in Shavertown, Pa., at 1 p.m.
