The University of Scranton women's golf team opened play at the 2026 Landmark Conference Golf Championships on Saturday at Shawnee Golf Course, sitting in fifth place after the first round.

The Royals posted a team score of 381 (+93) through 18 holes. Catholic University leads the field at +47, followed by Susquehanna University (+54) and Drew University (+58). Josephine Nguyen of Drew carded the low round of the day with a 78 (+6).
Emily Davis led the Royals in the opening round, carding a 93 (+21) to pace the lineup. Lidia Marranca followed closely with a 95 (+23), highlighted by a birdie on the par-4 12th hole. Mara Bilenski posted a 96 (+24).
Cassandra Weir added a round of 97 (+25), and Julia Downing rounded out the group with a 99 (+27).
The Royals will return to action Sunday for the second and final round, with their first tee time set for 11:24 a.m., as they look to improve their standing at Shawnee Golf Course.
