MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The University of Scranton women's golf team had another solid showing at its second tournament of the season, finishing second at the Drew Invitational at Spring Brook Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The Royals finished with a four-player total of 412, trailing only the host Drew's 354 total. Scranton edged third-place Goucher, which finished with 416 strokes. Juniata was fourth with 540 and FDU-Florham was fifth at 568.
Sophomore Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) led Scranton with a 98 on the par-72 layout. Senior Julie Cranney (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) shot 102, junior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) had 104 and junior Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) had 108 to round out the team's top four scores.
The women's golf team will conclude its fall schedule on Saturday, Oct. 21, when the Royals face Marywood at 11 a.m. at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott, N.Y.
