Women's Golf Falls Just Short Against Marywood On Saturday

MT. COBB, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's golf team suffered a narrow 3-2 loss in a match play event against Marywood on Saturday at Scranton Municipal Golf Course.

The Royals (4-5) got a 6&4 victory from junior Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) at no. 5 in the loss. Her sister, junior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) halved her match at no. 2, as did freshman Catherine Shin (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) at no. 4.

The women's golf team will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29, when the Royals compete in the Landmark Conference Championships at Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Selinsgrove, Pa.
