Royals Tied For Third After First Round Of Landmark Conference Women's Golf Championships

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's golf team is tied for third after the first round of the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday at Susquehanna Valley Country Club.

The Royals finished the day with a four-player total of 404, tied with Goucher for third place. Drew leads after posting a total of 387, 10 strokes ahead of second-place Marywood's 397 total.

Senior Julie Cranney (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) led the Royals with a 97 on the 5,831-yard, par 70 course. Sophomore Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) finished with a 101, one shot better than senior Katie Allen (New Milford, Conn./Immaculate H.S.). Junior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) rounded out the team's top four scores with a 104.

The second and final round of the Landmark Conference Championships will begin at 10:30 a.m on Sunday at Suquehanna Valley Country Club.
