MOUNT COBB – The University of Scranton women's golf team got dominant victories from senior Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) and freshmen Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) in a 4-1 win over Wilkes on Saturday at Scranton Municipal Golf Course.

Scranton (3-0) did not lose a match on the day. McDonough and Lennon both posted 9 & 8 victories with McDonough's coming at no. 4 and Lennon winning at no. 5. Nemitz was nearly as impressive while posting an 8 & 7 win at no. 2.

Junior Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) split her match at no. 1, as did senior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) at no. 3.

The Royals are right back in action on Sunday when they face Marywood and Misericordia in match play at Scranton Municipal at 1 p.m.
