Women's Golf Finishes Second at Drew Invitational

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The University of Scranton women's golf team continued the Fall portion of their schedule on Tuesday at the Drew Invitational held at Spring Brook Country Club, and the Royals finished second overall as a team in the event with a total score of 408.

Host Drew was able to take the event with a team score of 389.

Individually, sophomore Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) was Scranton's team leader on the day, posting a score of 98 to finish in a tie for third overall in the event.

Freshman Katie Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) and senior Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) both finished in a tie for seventh with a pair of 101's, while sophomore Abigail Allen (New Milford, Conn./Immaculate H.S.) rounded out the line-up on the day for Scranton finishing 11th overall with a score of 108.

The individual medalist on the day was Drew's Kristine Masseria, who carded a 95 on the afternoon at Spring Brook C.C.

The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Saturday, as they host King's in a dual match at Scranton Municipal Golf Course. Action gets underway at 12 p.m.,
