Women's Golf Falls to Marywood, 363-381

MOUNT COBB, Pa. – Marywood posted the top three individual scores on Saturday to lead the Pacers to a 363-381 victory over The University of Scranton in a women's golf match played at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course.  The Pacers improve to 3-2 on the season with the win while dropping the Royals to 10-2 on the year.

Freshman Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and junior Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) led Scranton with identical rounds of 94 on the par 72, 5,928-yard course to tie for fourth place. 

Freshman Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) completed her round in 96 strokes to place sixth, one stroke ahead of seventh place finisher, senior Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross).

Senior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) came in just one stroke behind her twin sister, Maggie, carding a 98 to place eighth in the competition. 

Marywood's Mariah Casey claimed individual medalist honors on the day, leading the 10-golfer field with a score of 84.

Scranton willl take on Wilkes and Keystone in a tri-match on Thursday at the Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, Pa. starting at 1 p.m.
