WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's golf team finished fourth out of eight teams on Saturday at the Susquehanna Invitational held at the Williamsport Country Club. The Royals posted a team score of 406 on the day.
Drew won the team competition with a combined round of 362 while Catholic was the runner-up, carding a 384 on the day. Arcadia finished third with a 390 while Muhlenberg was fourth with a team score of 399.
Freshman Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) led Scranton with a round of 96 to tie for 11th in the 38-golfer field while classmate Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) finished one stroke back, tying for 13th with a 97 on the day.
Junior Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) completed the course in 99 stroke to tie for 16th overall. Senior Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) placed 32nd with a round of 114 while senior Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) finished 34th with a score of 118.
Scranton is right back in action on Sunday as the Royals take on Misericordia in a dual meet at the Irem Temple Golf Club in Dallas, Pa. starting at 12 p.m.
