DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The University of Scranton wrestling team made history on Thursday night at Delaware Valley, as the Royals collected dual match victories over the host Rams (36-15) and Camden County Community College (42-9) to match the program record for most dual match victories in a season.

With the victories, Scranton is now 15-7, which matches the mark set by the 2016-17 Royals, who finished the dual bout season 15-4 overall. Here are some highlights of the evening.

  • The Royals had several two-time winners on the evening. Pacing Scranton once again was senior heavyweight Keegan Connelly (Schnecksville, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), who had a 5-3 win by decision against Delaware Valley, and an 8-2 win over Camden County CC. With his victories, Connelly is now 28-3 overall for the year, already the 13th most wins in a season in program history.

  • Junior William Laughlin (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was also impressive at 174 pounds, winning by pinfall against Del. Valley (in 1:52) and by major decision (16-2) against Camden County CC.

  • At 184 pounds, fellow sophomore Aidan McNally (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) also won twice, taking a 6-2 win by decision against Del. Valley and a shutout 16-0 technical fall win over Camden County CC.
