MORRISTOWN, N.J. - In their first event in over two weeks, The University of Scranton women's golf team finished second overall at the 2021 Drew Spring Brook Invitational on Monday, which was held at Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown, N.J.
For the day, the Royals finished with a team score of 392 to finish runners-up to host Drew, who won the event with a final team score of 353.
Individually on the day for Scranton, sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) led the way, finishing in a tie for second overall on the leaderboard after carding a 90. Meanwhile, junior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) also had a strong round for the Royals, finishing in seventh overall with a score of 94.
Scranton's top scorers in the event were rounded out by sophomore Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy), who posted a 100 to finish 10th overall.
The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Saturday, as they head to Northwest Golf Club in Silver Spring, Md. for the 2021 Landmark Conference Fall Preview hosted by Catholic. The tournament begins at 9 AM.
