HANOVER TWP., Pa. – Making their season debut, The University of Scranton women's golf team picked up a dual match victory over Kings and Wilkes in a tri-match on Saturday afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club in Hanover Township.
The Royals recorded a team score of 351, as they topped King's (387) and Wilkes (447).
Sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) led the way for the Royals with an 84 (+13) on the day, while senior Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) finished right behind her teammate with an 85 (+14) on the Par-71 course.
Junior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) carded an 87 (+16) and senior Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) rounded out the scoring for Scranton with a 95 (+24) on the day.
Paula Moon of King's earned medalist honors in the match with a 75 (+4) and Sarah Sorber was the top scorer for Wilkes with a 90 (+19).
The University of Scranton women's golf team is right back in action on Sunday afternoon when they host Misericordia in a dual match at Stonehedge Country Club with tee time set for 1:30 p.m.
