DALLAS, Pa. - Sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) once again had the low score for The University of Scranton women's golf team, as the Royals (363) knocked off King's (367) and Wilkes (417) in a tri-dual match on Saturday at Huntsville Golf Club.
With the pair of victories, Scranton is now 5-0 in matches on the fall season.
On the afternoon, Buhler carded an 83 (+11) to lead the Royals, as it marked the third straight event on the year that Buhler had the lowest score in an event for Scranton.
Elsewhere, senior Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) had a strong day, carding an 89, while sophomore Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) fired a 90. Rounding out the lineup for the Royals was senior Abigail Allen (New Milford, Conn./Immaculate H.S.), who had a 101.
The medalist in the event was Paula Moon from King's, who fired an impressive 73 (+1) on the afternoon.
The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Sunday, as they travel to Irem Temple Country Club to take on Misericordia. Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
