DALLAS, Pa. - The University of Scranton women's golf team improved to 6-0 in dual matches on Sunday, as the Royals coasted to a 357-475 victory over Misericordia at Irem Temple Country Club.
Overall, sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) once again was the medalist for Scranton, as she finished the day with an 88. It marked the third straight event that Buhler had the lowest score for the Royals, as she has shot in the 80's in all three rounds she has participated in during the fall campaign.
Just behind Buhler was senior Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono), who carded an 89, while three players shot a 90 on the day - sophomore Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy), senior Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East), and juniorKate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa). Rounding out the line-up for the Royals was senior Abigail Allen (New Milford, Conn./Immaculate H.S.), who finished with a 101.
The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Thursday, taking part in the Glenmaura Invitational in Moosic.
