SILVER SPRING, MD (April 24, 2022) -- The University of Scranton women's golf team finished third overall with a score of 691 (+115) at the 2022 Landmark Championships this weekend at Northwest Golf Course in Silver Spring, MD.
On day two of the tournament, sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) and senior Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa. / North Pocono) each carded an 85 (+13) to pace the Royals. Nemitz improved 10 strokes on her score from the opening round to jump four spots and place 12th overall while Buhler finished in a tie for 6th.
Sophomre Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) carded an 89 (+17) and finished in 8th while junior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y. / Massapequa) matched her first round score of 88 (+16) to finish in 11th place.
Senior Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y. / Half Hollow Hills East) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with a 91 (+19) to finish in a tie for 14th.
Drew University finished first overall as a team at 663 (+87) while Kayla Diaz of Drew won medalist honors as she shot an impressive two-under par round today to finish at 145 (+1) on the tournament.
