DALLAS, PA (April 9, 2022) -- The University of Scranton women's golf team rolled past Misericordia 356-446 on Saturday afternoon as sophomore Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) shot the low round of the day.
Dowling carded an 82 (+10) to earn her second top finish of the spring season. Head coach Ed Karpovich was impressed with Dowling's ability play well in such adverse conditions. Finishing runner-up for the Royals was sophomore Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) who shot an 89 (+17).
Junior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y. / Massapequa) finished right behind Buhler with a 90 (+18) followed by senior Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y. / Half Hollow Hills East) who carded a 95 (+23). Senior Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa. / North Pocono) finished with a round of 97 (+25) while sophomore Emily McAlarney (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) rounded out the lineup with a 116 (+44).
The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Thursday in the Bloomsburg Invitational at Frost Valley Country Club in Danville, PA. Action gets underway at 12:00 PM.
