HANOVER TWP., Pa. – Junior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) earned medalist honors with an 81 (+10) and The University of Scranton women's golf team took victories over King's and Misericordia in a tri-match on Sunday afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
The Royals notched a 362-368 win over King's and a 362-435 win over the Cougars to improve to 4-0 this fall in dual matches.
This marks the second straight match that Dowling has taken home first place as she also did so with a 78 (+6) in a dual match win over Misericordia last Sunday.
Following Dowling's 81, fellow junior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) shot an 87 (+16) and senior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) checked in with a 90 (+19). Elsewhere for the Royals, junior AnnaMarie Palermo (Media, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) carded a 104 (+33) and freshman Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa./Scranton Prep) shot a 105 (+34).
Paula Moon and Evie Williams both led the way for King's with an 82 (+11), while Jordyn Ruane paced Misericordia with a 90 (+19).
The University of Scranton women's golf team will host Susquehanna in a dual match on Tuesday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club with tee time slated for 1 p.m.
