TUNKHANNOCK, PA (September 24, 2022) -- Junior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) broke the program record with a career-best 76 (+5) to lead The University of Scranton women's golf team to a commanding 342-427 win over Misericordia on Saturday afternoon at Stone Hedge Golf Course.

Dowling continues her strong play of late with her fourth consecutive first place finish and her second round of the year in the 70s.

Fellow junior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) and senior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y. / Massapequa) finished second and third respecitely with round of 86 (+15) and 87 (+16).

Freshmen Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa. / Scranton Prep) and Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) rounded out the lineup for the Royals with rounds of 93 (+22) and 101 (+31) respectively. 

The women's golf team will return to action on Monday when they head to Susquehanna for a dual match at Susquehanna Valley Contry Club.
