SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Junior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) shot a 78 (+8) to earn medalist honors and The University of Scranton women's golf team remained unbeaten this fall with a 336-387 dual match victory over Susquehanna on Monday at Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
The team score of 336 is the third lowest in program history and the Royals' best since a 332 in a quad match against King's, Marywood and Wilkes on Mar. 28, 2021.
Monday marks the third time this season that Dowling has shot in the 70s after she broke the program record with a 76 (+5) in Saturday's dual match victory over Misericordia.
Fellow junior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) carded an 84 (+14) and senior Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) fired an 87 (+17), while freshman Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa./Scranton Prep) posted a season-best 88 (+18).
Rounding out the scorers for Scranton was junior AnnaMarie Palermo (Media, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) with a 101 (+30).
Susquehanna was led by Davis Boyd with an 83 (+13).
The University of Scranton women's golf team will host the Landmark Conference Fall Preview on Saturday at Glenmaura National Golf Club with tee time slated for 11:30 a.m.
