LEBANON, PA (March 20, 2023) -- The University of Scranton women's golf team placed third overall with a score of 436 (+148) in its first action of the 2023 spring season at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Monday afternoon at Lebanon Country Club.
Host LVC won the invitational with a team score of 401 (+113) while Jefferson University finished in second at 407 (+119).
Junior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) shot the low round of the day for the Royals as she carded a 99 (+27) to place seventh overall. Freshman Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) finished in a tie for tenth at 106 (+34).
Junior AnnaMarie Palermo (Media, Pa. / Merion Mercy Academy) shot a 113 (+41) to finish 15th while Freshman Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa. / Scranton Prep) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with a 17th place finish at 118 (+46).
The women's golf team returns to action on Sunday, April 2 in a local tri-match against King's and Marywood at Stone Hedge Golf Course at 12:00 PM.
