TUNKHANNOCK, PA (April 2, 2023) -- Junior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) earned medalist honors with a round of 79 (+8) to lead The University of Scranton women's golf team to a local quad match victory over Marywood, King's and Wilkes.

The Royals finished with a team score of 273 to take first overall. King's took second at 315 followed shortly behind by Marywood at 319 while Wilkes rounded out the competition at 383. 

Junior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) finished second individually behind Dowling with an 87 (+16). 

Freshman Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) carded a 107 (+36) to take seventh. Junior AnnaMarie Palermo (Media, Pa. / Merion Mercy Academy) and freshman Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa. / Scranton Prep) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with round of 115 (+44) and 116 (+45) respectively. 

The women's golf team is back in action next Monday when it takes on Susquehanna at Stone Hedge Golf Course at 12:00 pm.
