For a 25th straight year, The University of Scranton women's soccer team has earned the United Soccer Coaches'(USC) Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 school year as announced by the organization this week.
The Team Academic Award recognizes programs with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the entire academic year. As a whole, 499 women's soccer programs across all three divisions were honored by the organization.
Scranton posted an impressive 3.62 team GPA in 2022-23 and 20 student-athletes were named to the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.
This award was established in 1996 under the previous name of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
