SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's soccer program added another national accolade to its historic 2025 campaign on Thursday, as sophomore defender Aileen Carr was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America Third Team.
United Soccer Coaches Release
Carr becomes the latest Royal to earn All-America recognition after anchoring one of the top defensive units in Division III. Scranton allowed just nine goals in 21 matches, including zero goals in Landmark Conference regular-season play, while posting 16 shutouts on the season.
This marks the third straight season that a member of the women's soccer program has earned All-America honors (Niamh Healy - 2023, 2024).
Aileen Carr – Third Team All-American (Defender)
Carr earns All-America honors after a dominant sophomore season in which she served as the cornerstone of the Royals' back line. She started all 20 matches she appeared in and played a team-high 1,765 minutes among field players, contributing two goals and one assist (5 points) while remaining a threat on set pieces.
Defensively, Carr led a group that surrendered only nine goals all season and did not allow a single goal in Landmark regular-season competition. Her steady presence, poise, and ability to read the game were instrumental in Scranton securing its sixth consecutive Landmark title and returning to the NCAA Tournament.
Carr's honor adds to a decorated career that already includes 2025 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year, 2024 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, two-time First Team All-Region, and two-time First Team All-Conference.
