SHAWNEE ON THE DELAWARE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's golf team turned in one of its strongest performances of the season at the Landmark Fall Preview, finishing third overall in a competitive 10-team field at Shawnee Golf Course.
Final Results
The Royals recorded rounds of 313 and 300 for a two-day total of 613 (+37), improving by 13 strokes in Sunday's final round. Drew captured the team title at 590 (+14), followed by Goucher (+31) in second place.
Scranton placed two golfers inside the top 10 individually, led by Gehrig Shannon and Richard Essen, who both tied for seventh at 153 (+9). Shannon posted the team's low round of the tournament with a 74 (+2) on Sunday, while Essen followed closely with a 76 (+4) in the second round.
Jack Novis tied for 11th at 154 (+10) after rounds of 78 and 76, and Cade Kelleher surged on day two, matching Shannon with a 74 (+2) to finish in a tie for 17th at 156 (+12). Jack Leonard rounded out the lineup in a tie for 26th at 158 (+14).
Drew's Elliot Parker earned medalist honors with a two-round total of 140 (-4).
Scranton is building strong momentum heading into the spring season, where the team will look to continue its progress in preparation for the 2026 Landmark Conference Championship.
