The University of Scranton field hockey team had seven student-athletes earn All-Landmark Conference honors, as announced by the conference office today.
Scranton's honorees include Landmark Defensive Player of the Year MacLean Thuermer, along with five First Team and two Second Team selections, highlighting a championship season and NCAA Tournament berth.
MacLean Thuermer – Defensive Player of the Year / First Team Goalkeeper
- Scranton senior MacLean Thuemer earns Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors after leading the conference in both goals-against average (0.617) and total shutouts (5).
- She also ranked second in the Landmark with 46 saves and posted a .821 save percentage, anchoring a defensive unit that allowed just four goals in Landmark play.
- Thuemer becomes only the second Royal ever to earn Defensive Player of the Year accolades, joining Jessica Pankey (2015).
- This marks the first All-Conference selection of her career.
Shana Goldsmith – First Team Forward
- Goldsmith earns First Team All-Landmark honors for the first time after ranking among the league's top scorers with 12 goals and five assists (29 points).
- She converted at a .255 shooting percentage with 36 shots on goal and scored four game-winning goals.
Annie Shaw – First Team Forward
- This marks Shaw's second career All-Conference selection following another standout season at forward.
- She led the Royals with 19 goals and four assists (42 points) and ranked second in the Landmark Conference in total goals, game-winning goals (5), and total points.
Maggie Keys – First Team Midfielder
- Keys earns First Team All-Conference honors for the first time after producing 10 goals and 18 assists (38 points).
- She led the Landmark Conference with 18 assists, ranking among the national leaders, and was the engine of Scranton's possession-based attack through the midfield.
Kiera Lamb – First Team Defender
- Lamb earns First Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career.
- She anchored a back line that allowed just 22 goals in 20 games and only four in Landmark play, while contributing one goal and seven assists (nine points) from the defensive third.
Lydia Bechtel – Second Team Midfielder
- Bechtel earns Second Team All-Conference recognition for the first time after contributing five goals and six assists (16 points).
- She provided a reliable two-way presence in the midfield and helped drive transition play throughout the season.
Gabi Horn – Second Team Defender
- Horn earns Second Team All-Conference honors for the first time after starting all 20 games and contributing one goal as a key part of Scranton's defensive structure.
- Her communication, positioning, and poise helped the Royals post one of the best defensive records in the Landmark.
Coaching Staff of the Year

- Scranton's coaching staff was named Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year after guiding the Royals to the program's third conference title with a 3–0 victory over Susquehanna in the Landmark Championship.
- The honor marks the third time in program history and the first since 2022 that Scranton has received the award.
- Now in her 20th season, Moyer will lead the Royals into the NCAA Tournament on November 12, when they face Bowdoin College in the First Round.
