Annie Shaw Named Landmark Conference Field Hockey Senior Scholar-Athlete

Scranton, Pa. - Senior Annie Shaw of the University of Scranton field hockey team has been named the 2025 Landmark Conference Field Hockey Senior Scholar-Athlete. Shaw is the program's sixth honoree and third in a row, following former teammates Bridget Abraldes in 2023 and Lauren Franco in 2024.

Shaw, an Advertising, Public Relations, and Social Media major with a 3.78 grade point average, closed out her senior season in impressive fashion. She lead the Royals their first championship victory since 2021, scoring two goals in the Royals' 3–0 win over Susquehanna in the title game and earning Championship Most Valuable Player honors. She is also a two-time All-Conference selection, earning Second Team honors in 2024 and First Team honors in 2025.

Academically, Shaw earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Scholar of Distinction recognition in 2024 and is a three-time Landmark Academic Honor Roll selection.

Shaw also serves as a Morgan's Message Student Ambassador, helping foster a positive environment for student-athletes by working to break the stigma surrounding mental health. She organizes awareness events and fundraisers and uses social media to educate the campus community about available mental health resources and support.
