Whelpley Named Landmark Conference Player of the Year; Four From Women's Volleyball Earn All-Conference Honors

The University of Scranton women's volleyball team earned four All-Landmark Conference selections, highlighted by Landmark Conference Player of the Year Deanna Whelpley, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Whelpley becomes the first player in program history to receive Landmark Player of the Year honors since the Royals joined the conference in 2007.

Deanna Whelpley – Player of the Year / First Team Outside Hitter

  • Deanna Whelpley earned Landmark Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors after producing one of the most dominant offensive seasons in the league.
  • She led the Landmark with 473 kills, including 111 kills in conference play, averaged 4.04 kills per set, and hit a career-best .270 to pace the Royals.
  • Whelpley became the 10th player in program history to eclipse 1,000 career kills, hitting the milestone during the Landmark Championship match against Juniata, and finishing the season with 1,002.
  • She becomes the first Royal ever to earn Landmark Player of the Year accolades and is now a two-time All-Landmark First Team selection.

Cammi Quirk – First Team Setter

  • Cammi Quirk earned First Team All-Landmark honors after leading the conference with 1,187 assists and a Landmark-best 10.06 assists per set.
  • She ran one of the league's most efficient offenses, bringing consistency and control to Scranton's attack.
  • Quirk surpassed the 2,000 career assist milestone earlier this season and now ranks 7th in program history with 2,329 assists.
  • This marks her second straight All-Conference selection. She also earned Landmark Rookie of the Year honors in 2023.

Lauren Angelucci – Second Team Outside Hitter

  • Lauren Angelucci earned Second Team All-Landmark honors after a standout debut season for the Royals.
  • She ranked second on the team in kills during conference play with 69, emerging as a consistent and productive attacking presence on the outside.

Danielle Kramer – Honorable Mention Middle Hitter

  • Danielle Kramer earned All-Landmark Honorable Mention recognition after ranking second on the team with 226 kills while hitting .247.
  • Her presence and efficiency in the middle were key components of Scranton's front-row production.
