SCRANTON, Pa. – The No. 17 University of Scranton men's soccer team saw its Landmark Conference title run come to a close in heartbreaking fashion on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Drew University, 5–4 in penalty kicks, after a 1–1 draw through 110 minutes in the Landmark Semifinals at Weiss Field.

How It Happened
- Drew opened the scoring early in the 6th minute when Andrew Dunne fired a shot from the left side of the box that went through traffic and into the bottom right corner of the goal for a 1–0 lead.
- The Royals pressed hard throughout the first half and finally broke through in the 58th minute. James Mayo rose above the defense and headed home a perfectly placed free kick from Alex Kozdron to even the score at 1–1.
- Scranton continued to control the match from there, outshooting Drew 22–6 overall and 9–2 in shots on goal while earning 10 corner kicks to the Rangers' one. Despite numerous chances, the Royals couldn't find the winner in regulation or overtime.
- In the penalty shootout, Drew converted five of its six attempts to edge Scranton, 5–4, and advance to the Landmark Conference Championship.
