SCRANTON, Pa. – Five members of The University of Scranton men's soccer team earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region V honors, highlighted by three First Team selections following one of the strongest defensive seasons in program history.
Logan Campbell, Drew Paxson, and Charlie Smith were named to the All-Region V First Team, while Alex Kozdron and James Mayo earned Fourth Team honors. Scranton's five selections reflect the balance and depth of a defensive group that allowed just four goals in 20 matches, including zero in Landmark Conference regular-season play.
All-Region V First Team
Logan Campbell – Senior Defender
Campbell earns First Team All-Region honors for the second straight year after anchoring a back line that allowed only four goals in 20 matches, including none in Landmark regular-season play. He started all 20 games and played 1,740 minutes, adding one goal on 17 total shots with eight on target. Earlier this season, Campbell earned the third All-Conference selection of his career and was named the 2025 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Drew Paxson – Junior Defender
Paxson collects First Team All-Region accolades after producing four goals and four assists (12 points) while starting all 20 matches and playing 1,749 minutes, the most among field players. He recorded 19 shots with six on goal, delivered one game-winner, and played a major role in a defense that did not concede in Landmark regular-season play.
Charlie Smith – Senior Goalkeeper
Smith earns First Team honors after another elite season in net. He played 1,749:40 minutes, allowing four goals for a 0.21 goals-against average, while posting 44 saves and a .917 save percentage. He finished with 13 wins and 13 solo shutouts (17 combined), directing a defensive unit that delivered one of the best statistical seasons in NCAA Division III.

Alex Kozdron – Junior Defender
Kozdron earns Fourth Team recognition after a highly productive season that included four goals and four assists (12 points), three game-winning goals, and 16 total shots across 1,457 minutes. A major set-piece threat and reliable defender, he played a key role in Scranton's Landmark-best defensive performance.
James Mayo – Sophomore Defender
Mayo secures Fourth Team honors following a breakout season that featured five goals and three assists (13 points) across 1,200 minutes. He recorded 33 shots with 13 on goal and provided one game-winner. His aerial ability and timing were crucial components of a defensive unit that allowed only four goals all season.
