SCRANTON, Pa. – Junior guard Brendan Carr of The University of Scranton men's basketball team has been named Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week after strong performances in a pair of wins at the York Spartan Classic.

Carr led the Royals in their 89–77 victory over Ursinus College, pouring in a career-high 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting to help Scranton pull away in the second half. He followed that effort with a solid performance against Nazareth University, scoring 16 points and grabbing six rebounds as the Royals completed the weekend sweep.

Across the two games, Carr provided consistent offensive production and physical play on both ends of the floor, helping Scranton improve to 9–1 on the season.

With his career performance and continued impact, Carr earned Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week honors.
