Annie Shaw, a senior forward and 2025 team captain for The University of Scranton field hockey team, has been named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Watchlist, the organization announced this week.
NFHCA Release
Shaw earns the national recognition after an outstanding 2024 season that saw her start all 22 games for the Royals and record 30 points on 12 goals and six assists. She finished the year ranked tied for second in the Landmark Conference in game-winning goals (5), tied for third in goals (12), and fourth in total points (30).
She was named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team in 2024 and enters the 2025 campaign as Scranton's leading returning goal scorer.
Shaw will be a key piece for the Royals this fall as they look to build on last year's postseason run. The NFHCA Watchlist recognizes top returning collegiate field hockey players from all three NCAA divisions, with selections eligible for All-Region and All-American honors later this fall.
