Women’s Basketball Program to Host Spring and Fall Prospect Camps at John Long Center

SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's basketball program will host two one-day Prospect Camps on Sunday, May 3 and Sunday, Sept. 20 at the John Long Center. The camps will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are designed for experienced basketball players entering grades 8 through 12 who are interested in competing at the collegiate level.

The camps will be directed by head women's basketball coach Ben O'Brien and will provide participants with the opportunity to train alongside and learn from the University's coaching staff and current student-athletes. Campers will take part in skill instruction, competitive drills, and live game action, while gaining valuable insight into what it takes to play college basketball.

An optional admissions meeting and campus tour will be offered for campers and parents from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Those planning to attend the admissions session should register between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Campers not attending the optional session may register beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by a warm-up session in the Long Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Stations and games will run from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., and the day will conclude with a Q&A session with coaches and players from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The cost of the camp is $100 per participant, and all attendees will receive a camp t-shirt.

Camp highlights include instruction from University of Scranton coaches and players, competitive drills and games with top regional talent, and the opportunity to learn more about the admissions process through the optional meeting and campus tour.
