Royal Reflection shines a light on the senior student-athletes who embody what it means to be a Royal. In this edition, we feature Anna Donnellan of The University of Scranton women's soccer team as she reflects on the moments that defined her time here. 

Favorite Scranton Memory?

  • Winning the landmark championship my freshman year with 13 seconds left in the game. 

One lesson Scranton athletics taught you?

  • Your energy and attitude impacts everyone around you.

Pregame or pre-competition ritual you will miss the most?

  • Singing and dancing as a team in the locker room before games.

  • Nikki Olson

Best advice you've received during your career?

  • Control what you can control. 

What does being a Royal mean to you?

  • It means family…a bond that doesn't end when the season does. 

What are you most proud of from your time at Scranton?

  • I'm proud that I never stopped competing, even when things were challenging.

What's next after graduation?

  • I will be continuing my education by going to grad school at the University of Scranton to get my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

What surprised you most about yourself this past season?

  • Having the mental strength to move on after setbacks and injuries. 

How do you hope to be remembered by your coaches and your teammates?

  • I hope to be remembered as someone who was dependable and always willing to put the team first.
