LAKELAND, Fl. -- The University of Scranton baseball team erupted offensively in a 25-6 victory over The University of Mount Saint Vincent, improving to 3-0 on its Spring Break trip and 8-3 overall this season.

How it Happened
- Scranton broke the game open in the bottom of the second inning, scoring nine runs on just two hits and seven walks. Five of the first six batters reached base via walk, and one was hit by a pitch, bringing home the game's first three runs. With the bases loaded and no outs, Conor Campbell delivered the Royals' first hit, an RBI single that made it 4-0. Five more runs scored in the inning on a pair of bases-loaded walks, an RBI single by Logan Mason, a fielder's choice, and an error to give Scranton a 9-0 lead.
- Mount St. Vincent broke through against Mason Fischer in the top of the fourth, scoring an unearned run to cut Scranton's lead to 9-1. Fischer finished with five innings of one-hit ball and five strikeouts.
- In the bottom of the fourth, with Granko and Gannon on base, Mason doubled them home to extend Scranton's lead to 11-1.
- The Royals plated four more runs in the fifth inning. Scranton scored its 12th run on a bases-loaded balk, the 13th on a wild pitch, and the 14th on an RBI double by Granko. With the bases still loaded, Hunter Petrich drew an RBI walk to force in another run and make it 15-1 Royals.
- Scranton added 10 more runs in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 25-1, highlighted by RBI doubles from Jared Cassella, Hunter Petrich, and Deuce Rzucidlo, a sacrifice fly from Evan Laub, and RBI singles from Patrick Walsh, Will Hunsinger, Brandon Prince, Roman Valvano, and Cassella.
- Mount St. Vincent scored five runs in the top of the seventh, but the game was called shortly after, giving the Royals a 25-6 victory in seven innings.
