LAKELAND, Fl. -- The University of Scranton baseball team used an eight-run sixth inning to erase an eight-run deficit and defeat Babson, 10-8, improving to 4-0 on its Spring Break trip and 9-3 overall this season.

How it Happened
- Babson scored once in the first and then broke the game open with five runs in the second, capped by a three-run home run to take a 6-0 lead.
- The Beavers added another run on an RBI groundout in the fourth to go ahead 7-0.
- Scranton answered with an eight-run sixth inning on six hits to take its first lead of the game. The first three batters produced the Royals' first two runs, as Matthew Gannon singled and scored on a Conor Campbell double, and Campbell later came home on a John Heitzman single to make it 7-2. The Royals then loaded the bases for Vincent Napolitano, who cleared them with a three RBI double and then he scored on an error to pull Scranton within one.
- A throwing error allowed Jack Portman to score after his double to tie the game at 7-7, and a Gannon sacrifice fly put the Royals in front, 8-7.
- Babson tied the game at 8-8 in the top of the seventh on a bases loaded hit by pitch that forced in a run.
- Scranton responded immediately in the bottom half. Joey Granko was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, moved to second on a wild pitch, and a Jared Cassella single put runners on the corners. Granko then scored the go ahead run on another wild pitch, and two batters later, Cassella came home on a balk to give the Royals a 10-8 lead.
- Kieran Lodewick entered in the top of the eighth and retired the first batter before the game was called due to weather, as Scranton secured a 10-8 comeback victory.
