The University of Scranton baseball team split a double header with Elizabethtown College, losing the first game of the day 5-1 before bouncing back in game two with a 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon in Elizabethtown.

Game One
How it Happened
- Scranton took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning when Conor Campbell came home on a fielder's choice by Jared Cassella.
- The Blue Jays answered in the bottom of the third, tying the game at 1-1 with a two-out RBI single.
- Elizabethtown moved ahead in the bottom of the fifth, plating two runs on a bases-loaded walk and an RBI groundout to take a 3-1 lead.
- Kieran Lodewick provided Scranton with a strong relief outing, tossing three scoreless innings with two punchouts.
- The Blue Jays later added two more runs in the eighth inning on a pair of RBI singles to extend the advantage to 5-1, and the Royals were unable to muster up anything in the ninth, as Elizabethtown took game one of the doubleheader.
Game Two
How it Happened
- Scranton opened the scoring in the top of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead. Hunter Petrich singled and stole second base to advance into scoring position and Evan Laub singled through the left side to drive in the game's first run.
- In the top of the fourth inning, Conor Campbell drove in Jimmy Lundari with a sacrifice-fly to extend the lead to 2-0.
- The Royals tacked on another in the fifth inning when Lundari worked a bases-loaded walk to force in Scranton's third run of the game.
- After Matt Holgado tossed four scoreless innings, the Blue Jays broke through in the fifth, scoring on an RBI double to trim Scranton's lead to 3-1. Holgado worked through the rest of the inning to complete a strong outing, going five innings while allowing one run and striking out one.
- Elizabethtown pulled within a run in the bottom of the sixth. Following a leadoff walk, an RBI double brought home the Blue Jays' second run of the game. Ryan Boyd settled in from there, retiring the next three batters in order, including one by strikeout, to send the game to the seventh with the Royals holding a 3-2 advantage.
- John DeStefano came on in the eighth and fired two hitless innings to earn the save and lock down the Royals' 3-2 victory.
