The University of Scranton men's golf team finished third at the Lebanon Valley Spring Invitational with a team score of 316 (+28), just three strokes behind second-place Elizabethtown A and five behind winners Millersville.
Scranton was led by Jack Novis, who tied for 6th individually with a 77 (+5), and Richard Essen, who tied for 8th with a 78 (+6). Gehrig Shannon and Cade Kelleher also contributed solid rounds of 80 (+8) and 81 (+9), helping secure the team's top-three finish. Juliano Nieto added a 14-over 86 to round out the scoring.
The Royals will return to action on Monday, April 6 for a dual match against Wilkes University at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, Pa.Â
